Hustle Cafe @Freo

Last Saturday me, my husband and Lola walking around Fremantle cafe strips. It was rainy day but we love rain so we just enjoy the walk. Lola a bit scared when she heard loud sound but it’s good to make her get used to with some loud sound and rain. We park near esplanade hotel then walk down the street toward Fremantle Market. Then turn right near hungry jacks. Fremantle was really nice place to walk along with your dog.

I ordered one mocha for me and one cappucino for my husband. We also had brunch there. We ordered smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel and also mashed avocado bagel. They are really nice especially the mashed avocado one. The cafe is lovely, really nice to hangout with your friends. It’s really suitable for breakfast and brunch. They have some variant of bagels, cakes and muffins in their menu. The price is reasonable. And the more important for us is we can bring Lola there, lol.

I really love the ambience in that place. I think i fall in love with hustle, lol. Think about having those little wood tables for my bedside. They really awesome. And they could be my food photo props as well, really handy to bring everywhere and use it as my background. They really are photogenic. I absolutely want to go back there again.

DOME RIVERSIDE – East Fremantle – WA

It’s my first time going to Dome Riverside at Fremantle. It’s located near the river, the view was fantastic. I fall in love for the first sight with this restaurant. Their interior decor actually have not much different with other Dome but because of the location make it stand out compare to the others. And it had a lovely ceiling decoration.

I had calamari salad and lemon lime bitters this time. The salad was nice and it came in big portion. The price is reasonable. My friend had chicken masala salad and it was nice as well. Just a lil bit accident with the staff where she spill my friend coffee, but my friend said it’s not usual that the staff not nice and friendly. But I still want to go back there again. Hopefully next time it wont happen again.

Lovely place, lovely day, lovely ladies, lol.

Roll’d 140William

New restaurant in Perth – CBD, called it Roll’d. It’s vietnamese, they offering fresh and healthy food. Been there a couple of time and had tried most of their menu. I love those! It’s a bright and bubbly place for good catch up with families and friends. The place is quite big and has lovely interior design. I love sitting under the bike area. That’s my fav spot. Located in the centre of Perth – CBD, it’s very strategic location.

This Pho has big portion and really tasty. Most of their menu has big portion except the small portion of course. The price is reasonable and the staffs are friendly.

Here are some menus that I already tried with my family. We also tried their rice paper roll, so fresh and what i like the most is the low carb option. Their spring roll are excellent, so crisp and tasty.

I definitely want to come back again. Can’t wait to have lunch or dinner at Roll’d 140William. So, if you want to find a place to meet up with friends or families, don’t forget to go to this place, very recommended.

Victoria Park Hawker’s Market

Victoria Park Hawker’s Market on Friday night, now becoming one of our regular activities for the week. It’s really nice because we could find lots of food from around the world in one place, the other thing that make it perfect is because we can bring our lil puppy ‘Lola’ comes along together to join the crowd. It was a great venue to catch up with friends and family, the music is groovy too. You can bring picnic rug or chair because sometimes it’s hard to find empty table.

Those are some menu that you can have there. From up-left and move clockwise : Pad Thai(Thailand) $6 – Roo Steak Sandwich(Australia) $15 – Spaghetti bolognaise(Italia) $15 – Jamaican bbq jerk chicken(Jamaica) $15. Last night i try Bombolini (Italian Doughnut) $5, a Arancini (Italia) $6 and Portuguese egg tart $4.5 as our dessert. My son bought Lamb Curry Rice (India) $12.5 and my hubby choose Bento Box (Japan) $15 for their dinner.

We haven’t try some of the food there, but we plan to try them next week 🙂

Hog’s Breath Restaurant – Joondalup

hogs breath

I’ve been spoiled by my lovely friend today. She took me to Hog’s Breath Cafe – Joondalup. They have burgers, pasta and a signature prime rib dish in an informal steakhouse chain with a saloon bar. We order the signature prime rib with calamari. I choose salads and chips for the side, while my friend choose steam veggies and chips and also add avocado for the side.
I quite surprise with the steak. It was slow cook for about 18 hrs, that’s why it’s so tender but still juicy. I love them. You can find their menu here. The price range between $10 – $45. Staffs are friendly. Lovely food, lovely place. Worth to try.
The first Hog’s Breath restaurant is at Airlie Beach, North Queensland. It’s open in 1989 and now there are over 80 locations across Australia and New Zealand.
This one is located in: Lakeside Joondalup

Dusit Thai Restaurant – Northbridge

Had invitation for my friend birthday party at Dusit Thai Restaurant in Northbridge. It’s the second time i went for dinner there. The place is big and it’s suitable for special occasion for example birthday party, graduation celebration, small wedding party, etc. When we came in to the restaurant, we immediately feel the Thai atmosphere. The red-gold colour theme make it more Thai. And also the tableware that they used to serve.

All the food that we ordered were taste amazing. I love their pad thai much. The sweetness and a bit sour make it great combination. And the crunchiness of the nut make it perfect. It’s easy for me to eat one bowl for myself 🙂 But because i had to make room in my tummy for other food so i can’t eat all of it by myself. The starter platter was great as well. Dip it with the sauce hmmm…so yummy.

At the end, it was a great night with great food and great friends as well 🙂

Harvest Espresso

Harvest espresso is one of the best small cafe in town. Some people call this kind of cafe as micro restaurant. And now micro restaurant is growing fast in Perth. I heard about Harvest espresso from my friend. And one day, my jog route pass this cafe, I found out the place is too small for a beautiful cafe with beautiful food like it.

It;s location is in the heart of Town of Victoria Park along the side of cafe strip there. This area is so happening at this time. It’s growing so fast lately with availability of more bubbly and spacious restaurant like the Precint, San Churro together with some micro restaurant like harvest espresso, etc made more people coming and business increases indeed.

What makes Harvest different from other cafe is because they provide different menus for every season. What a great effort isn’t it? That’s why people always eager to come and try their new menu. And also their matcha latte is so delicious. Those menus on the photos are their winter menu. Food prices range from $10 – $25. For coffee lover you should try their dirty matcha latte. What I have is ice dirty matcha latte with ice cream. Its so beautiful. Beautiful food with beautiful presentation, it’s just like you’ve been served by a masterchef. I definitely want to came back there again and again.

More about Harvest Espresso.

It’s School Break – Part 2 (Margaret River – Augusta – Gracetown in Winter Time)

The journey is not over yet. We went to cookies galore. For those who like cookies then you might love this place. You could find some yummy cookies. But I had some bad experience here. When arrived in Perth, I just realized that some cookies that I bought there was expired. I already try to contact them through their email but there’s no reply from them til now. So please be very careful if you buy some cookies there, pay more attention on expiry date on the cookies packages.

After that we went to Gracetown as I told you in my previous post. From Gracetown we went to Cowaramup. It’s very special place, you could find some Cow statues at every corner of the town and some souvenir and balloon with cow themes.

We came to Candy Cow Store where you could find a lot of candies, fudge and nougat. The one that I loved was coconut ice.

Next stopped was Cheese Factory. As the name said about cheese, then you could find all about cheese with all the variation. The one that we really liked to buy is cider apple sparkling. It’s a kind of apple juice with sparkling taste. So fresh and simple.

Then we went to chocolate factory where we had our lunch while kiddos played in their backyard. They’re really enjoy the day by playing around with their friends. I bought white chocolate which i loved so much for snacking or drinking. I’m white hot chocolate lover 🙂

At the last time we went to Providore. I bought passion fruit curd and honey. It looks like we all had a  great time together. Alright dad? 🙂

Now it’s time to go home. Bu bye Margaret River and around. We’ll missed all the great things there.
