Brownies Kukus Putih Telur

Ingredients:

I :

  • 750 ml white eggs
  • 375 gr sugar
  • 20 gr cake emulsifier

 

II :

  • 275 gr plain flour
  • 75 gr chocolate powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp vanilli extract

 

III (melted):

  • 200 gr Dark Cooking Chocolate
  • 250 ml canola oil

 

IV (melted)

150 gr Dark Cooking Chocolate (or you can use meises)

 

Methods :

  1. Prepare steamer and baking pan.
  2. Using electronic mixer, mix egg whites until the bubble come out then add sugar and cake emulsifier. Continue mixing until hard peak form.
  3. Add ingredient II gradually. Then add ingredient III, mix slowly using spatula.
  4. Pour half batter into baking pan.
  5. Steam for about 20 minutes then add ingredient IV, flatten then pour remaining batter on the top and steam again for about 25-30minutes.
  6. Using skewer test to check whether it’s already cook or not. Try to put the skewer into the cake and it finished when the skewer come out clean.
  7. Set aside and let it cool.
  8. Cut into pieces and ready to serve.

 

 

Roti Abon (Chicken Floss Bun)

I used to love this at Breadtalk when i was living in Jakarta. One of my favourite bread indeed. Everytime I went to Breadtalk, i never forgot to buy it. Now, i tried to make it myself, not the best one but the taste is still good.
ROTI ABON (Chicken Floss Bun)
Ingredients :
  • 500g Bread flour
  • 60g Sugar
  • 15g   Dry Yeast
  • 15g   Salt
  • 100g  Butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 225g  fresh milk

Topping:

  • Abon Ayam (Chicken floss)
  • 3 tbs Mayonaise
  • 2 tbs Sweetened condensed milk
Methods :
  1. Mix flour, sugar, salt, dry yeast, eggs and fresh milk using electronic mixer until it smooth and elastic.
  2. Add butter and knead the dough again until it smooth and elastic.
  3. Shape dough into a ball and cover with cotton tea towel and let it rise until doubled in size, about 30-60 minutes.
  4. Shape dough into small ball about 50 g each and let it rise until doubled in size, about ±30-60 minutes.
  5. Preheat oven 200’C.
  6. Oven dough for about 10-15 minutes.
  7. Let it cool then you can put the topping.
  8. For topping : mixed mayonaise and sweetened condensed milk. Spread on the top of the bread then put chicken floss on top of it.

 

 

Martabak Manis Peanut Butter – Meises – Wijen

 

Martabak Manis Peanut Butter – Meises – Wijen

Ingredients A:

  • 125 gr plain fluor
  • 25 gr sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 175 ml water
  • 1/2 tsp dry yeast

Ingredients B:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 baking soda

 

Additional ingredients:

  • margarine
  • sugar
  • peanut butter
  • meises
  • sesame seed

 

Methods:
1. Mixed ingredients A (except dry yeast) using whisk until smooth, add dry yeast, mixed well, closed with plastic wrap and let it for about 2 hrs.
2. Whisk egg, then add baking soda from ingredients B into batter then mixed well.
3. Preheat pan using medium heat. Pour batter into pan then reduce heat. Cook using very low heat. When some hole form, spread sugar on it and put the lid on. Continue cooking until well cooked.
4. Set aside and put on cutting board. Half it. When it still hot, basting it with margarine and put all the filling. Put it all together.
5. Ready to serve.

 

 

Martabak Manis

Made another martabak manis but this time with different filling with the one that i made here. I used ovomaltine for the filling now. Martabak manis is Indonesian pancake, you can easily find it on the street market in Indonesia. It’s originally from Jakarta and Bandung area. Some people also call it Kue Terang Bulan.

Classic Marble Cake

Ingredients:

  • 5 eggs
  • 125 gr sugar
  • 1 tsp emulsifier
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 150 gr plain flour
  • 15 gr maizena/corn flour
  • 15 gr milk powder
  • 100 gr margarine, melted
  • 50 gr vegetable/canola oil
  • 1-2 tsp mocha paste

Methods:

  1. Preheat oven 180’C. Prepare round pan with 20cm diameter, bast with margarine and flour. Set aside.
  2. Mix plain flour, corn flour and milk powder.
  3. Using electric mixer, mix egg, sugar, vanilla extract and flour mixture until thick (all in one method).
  4. Mix melted margarine and canola oil then pour into batter gradually. Stir until all mixed well and homogeneous.
  5. Take 100ml batter and add mocha paste. Mixed well.
  6. Pour batter into pan, then pour mocha batter on the top.
  7. Make marble pattern using fork/satay skewer/toothpick.
  8. Oven for about 30-45 minutes.
  9. Take out from the pan as soon as possible so the cake not shrink.

  • 75 gr butter
  • 150 gr plain flour
  • 100 gr sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 300 ml coconut milk
  • 300 ml water
  • 150 gr steam potato, mashed
  • pandan paste

Topping:
100 gr sultanas

 

Methods:

1.Mix sugar and egg using electric mixer. Add salt and vanili extract. 
2.Using low speed, pour coconut milk, then mashed potato and flour gradually. 

3.Add water and then melted butter, mixed well. Then add pandan paste.
4.Preheat kue lumpur pan, basting with margarine, pour batter until 3/4 pan. close lid. Let it cook. Half way put the topping and cook again until the top dry. Ready to serve.
