Jamaica Blue – Willetton located in Southland Shopping Centre. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. At Jamaica Blue, every dish is created using simple, fresh and quality ingredients. They serve classic meal with a twist. This time I only ordered ice coffee and it taste nice. My boy ordered vanilla milkshake and classic fish and chip. They both beautiful.

See their menu here. They also include nutrition info in their menu. Really nice! I love their interior design, have great tone for photography, lol. And also really nice and cozy. Definitely wants to go back there again.

Tarts Cafe – Northbridge

Tarts cafe – Northbridge is a favorite spot to have brunch or lunch in Northbridge area. It has fabulous coffee and tea and also some beautiful desserts. They also serve high tea at the weekend. We came there pass the lunch time so we just ordered drinks and light menu like chips. But I definitely want to go back there to try their breakfast and lunch menu which are very mouthwatering.

Tarts Cafe is located at the end of Lake Street so parking is generally not an issue.  There are a couple of smaller lanes to turn into that should have parking spots. I came by on Sunday and it’s still not difficult to find a parking. Even if you park a bit far from the cafe, you can also walk around and enjoy the neighborhood which is lovely.

Cafe 2 Twenty Four – Belmont

Cafe 2 Twenty Four – Belmont located in Belmont area. It’s found at the opposite of Belmont Forum. I went there with some of my beautiful ladies friends who likes to taste new cafe in town. We grabbed a table inside which is quite enough. I’ve been tempted with their mega shake. I’m bit afraid that it’s gonna be too sweet for me but surprisingly it’s not like what I thought. Everything about the food was so good, beautiful taste. They had gorgeous presentation and very fresh. We spent almost half day there, from dropping our kids at school until pick up time, lol. From coffee  to lunch time.



I recommend you to pay a visit to Cafe 2 Twenty Four – Belmont.

Lemon Ice Tea



What’s so simple, refreshing and easy peasy lemon squeezy to make for this summer? Yes, Ice Lemon Tea! Here we are now, trying ice lemon tea recipe in my lil kitchen 🙂



2  large lemons
1 1/2  cups  sugar
2  black tea bags



  1. Cut lemon in a half and squeeze it using lemon squeezer to make lemon juice. Combine lemon juice and sugar in a medium saucepan with 1/2 cup water and bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Lower heat and simmer 2 minutes. Cool to room temperature.
  2. Steep the tea bags in 4 cups of boiling water, covered, for 5 minutes. Then remove tea bags. Stir in syrup, 4 cups cold water, and ice cubes.
  3. Ready to serve.

Months ago, a new magazine based in US offering me to be one of their food photography contributor. The name of the magazine is Scarllett Magazine. They had online and printed version of it.  I just feel proud  of my self when i saw my works was there, lol.

Es Buah (Fruit Cocktail)

Fruit Cocktail


Looks like i’m ready for summer!



  • 1 Pineapple, cut into pieces around 2×3 cm
  • 2 kiwi, cut into small pieces 1×1 cm
  • 1 papaya, make ball shape
  • 1/2 rockmelon, cut into pieces around 2×2 cm
  • 1/2 melon, cut into pieces around 2×2 cm
  • 1 pack nata de coco
  • 200 gr sugar
  • 3 lemon, make it juice
  • 10 gr lime stone + 1 ltr water
  • 3 ltr water


  1. Boil 3 ltr water with sugar, then add pineapple. Let it boiled. We called it pineapple juice.
  2. Mixed 10 gr lime stone with 1 ltr water, let it for a while, separate the sediment and take the clear water to soak papaya. Soak it for about 1-2 hours. Strain it and wash it again.
  3. Put all the fruits and nata de coco to pineapple juice and add the lemon juice.
  4. Put in the fridge.
  5. Ready to serve.









Jus Tape (Cassava Fermented Juice)


  • Fermented Cassava
  • sugar
  • water
  • ice block


Blend all ingredients using blender. Pour some chocolate sweet condensed milk on the top. Ready to serve.


Today I just used my feeling to measure the ingredients. Don’t make it too thick, otherwise is difficult to drink it. Add some more water if you think the mixture is too thick.

[Random Snippets Kitchen] Banana Fancy Free

Menanggapi tantangan mbak Vina dari Random Snippets yang mengeluarkan tantangan lomba baking and food photo di http://revinaoctavianitadr.multiply.com/journal/item/431/Random_Snippets_Challenge_Lomba_Memasak_, aku memilih salah satu resep yang terlihat yummy dan simple, secara akukan punya krucil yang sedang heboh-hebohnya 🙂 Padahal sih alasan utama karena doyan ama pisang, makanya begitu liat resep ini kok langsung cling 🙂

3 buah pisang ambon, kupas, potong-potong
350 cc susu segar (karena ga punya cukup stok susu segar, aku campur 150 cc susu segar, 2 sdm susu kental manis dicampur dengan 200 cc air)
10 sdm es serut (atau pake es batu biasa juga boleh) (aku pake 10 ice cube)
sirup coklat, secukupnya (saya pake Hershey’s) -jika di Indonesia mungkin bisa memakai susu kental manis rasa coklat. Rekomendasi saya: Frisian Flag- (untuk sirup coklat saya pake chocolate flavour toppingnya cottee’s)
note. bisa ditambahkan dengan sekitar 125 cc sirup vanilli, jika suka manis (ga pake sirup vanilli karena udah pake susu kental manis, jadi kesimpulan udah manis dong ya 🙂 )

Cara membuat:

  1. Masukkan pisang, susu cair, dan es cube dalam blender. Haluskan.
  2. Tuang sirup coklat ke sekeliling pinggiran gelas sambil putar gelasnya agar seluruh permukaan berwarna coklat
  3. Tuang adonan pisang perlahan-lahan ke dalam gelas. Sajikan segera.

Avocado Juice to Boost Your Day


2 avocado

2 tbs skim sweetened condensed milk


Put all the ingredients into blender/food processor. Blend until all smooth. Garnish it with chocolate topping flavour.

Breakfast Energizer

Mumpung rajin nih, pagi-pagi udah ngejus 🙂

Bahan :

2 bh kiwi

1/2 cup nanas

1 bh orange

Cara Membuat :

  1. Potong semua bahan menjadi potongan kecil-kecil.
  2. Masukkan ke dalam blender/food processor. Blender sampai halus. (Jika tidak mau terlalu kental bisa ditambahkan sedikit air.)
  3. Beri potongan es dan sajikan segera.
